Project cost: Between $30,000-$35,000.
This side-of-house transformation was completed in 2024, converting a previously wet and unused area into a functional and inviting outdoor space. The project began with the installation of a 25 metre agi line beneath the surface to effectively capture and redirect groundwater.
To stabilise the area, a 25 metre concrete sleeper retaining wall was constructed, providing both structural support and a clean, modern edge. The space was then finished with carefully laid paving, new plants, and trellises to introduce greenery and vertical interest. An arbour, crafted from hardwood timber posts, was also added to enhance the aesthetic and provide a sense of structure.
The result is a beautiful and practical outdoor area, now transformed into a peaceful retreat where the owner can relax and enjoy their morning coffee.
