With challenging rocky ground conditions in Oxenford and no access for an excavator, a concrete block retaining wall proved to be the ideal solution. The project began with the removal of the existing failed timber retaining wall, followed by careful site preparation.

Due to restricted access, a crane truck was used to efficiently import and position the concrete blocks. This method eliminated the need to navigate difficult terrain or access the site through neighbouring properties.

The rocky conditions also made concrete blocks particularly suitable, as they removed the need for drilling into hard rock, which is typically required for other retaining wall systems. Instead, the installation simply required the preparation of a stable footing for the blocks to sit on.

The result is a strong, durable retaining solution, perfectly suited to the site conditions and installed with minimal disruption.
